HELP EMPOWER YOUTH AND GIVE THEM A VOICE
Our Oak Ridge Even Hands4Hope Club is working with CASA to raise funds for much needed volunteer training services. CASA stands for Court-Appointed Special Advocates. Through this program, volunteers are appointed by a judge to help advocate for the best interest of a child who has been abused or neglected. These advocates are extremely important because they can help the judges fully understand each child’s circumstances and make a well informed decision tailored to each specific child’s needs. The volunteers must go through extensive training to become effective advocates before they can begin to help children in need of support. This is where Hands4Hope comes in. The Oak Ridge Hands4Hope Even Club is supporting CASA with a fundraising campaign to raise money for the advocate training programs. Additionally, we have an awareness campaign to help people learn about this life-changing program and encourage adults to become CASA advocates. By supporting the CASA program, you are helping more children find safe homes, giving them a better chance of succeeding in school, and reducing the likelihood that these children will be forced back into the foster care system. So, how can you help? There are many different ways that you can support CASA! You can simply donate below, or stay tuned for our upcoming raffle baskets featuring an Animal Lovers Basket, a Girls Night-In, a Reader's Paradise Basket, and more! Another great way to get involved is to join us on April 16th anytime between 11:30am-5:00pm for a dine-out night at Mom & Pop's Chicken Shop. It’s the easiest and most delicious way to support Hands4Hope because 5% of all meals sold will go to our CASA fundraising efforts!
