Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference
Youth
Board
The Hands4Hope Youth Board's primary objective is to use the service learning model to show and teach their peers how they can make a difference in their communities.
Led by the Youth Executive Committee and mentored by Hands4Hope's Education team, the Youth Board is made up of the President and Vice President of our seven high school Hands4Hope Clubs, as well as the Chair for each of our nine After-School Committees and one Middle School Club Representative. The role of the Youth Board is provide a youth voice and perspective to the Hands4Hope Education and Community Engagement Programs. They give input on issues and ideas brought to them by the Parent Advisory Council; share Club and Committee successes and challenges; collaborate on activities; and plan team builds, leadership camps and workshops. The Youth Board also collaborates to plan and host one annual fundraiser to benefit another local nonprofit and the Hands4Hope Education Program.

Welcome to Wellness
JJ's Hello Foundation
The proceeds Welcome to Wellness will benefit the local organization JJ's Hello Foundation and the Hands4Hope- Youth Making A Difference Education Program.
As part of JJ's mission JJ's Hello Foundation they promote mental health awareness, and create a message of hope for pre-teens, teens, and young adults in our community. One way they achieve this is by creating wellness boxes which include a journal with custom daily check-in prompts.

"Journaling improves mental health and allows for stress relief, because it can provide a safe space to unload your pent-up thoughts and feelings," says Dr. Carla Manly, a clinical psychologist based in Sonoma County, California. "In general, whether it's after a therapy session or just after a long day, it is a safe space just to put everything out there and close it up."
