SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE COMMITTEE

The Hands4Hope School Supply Drive & Distribution Committee works with local businesses and organizations to collect backpack and supply donations to benefit students in need.

The School Supply Drive Committee is led by and comprised of youth in grades 6-12, with the support of Adult Mentor volunteers and Hands4Hope staff. Committee participants market for and host the School Supply Drive, advertise the drive and associated events, work with media to promote the drive, organize donated items, and design and implement the distribution event.

To join the School Supply Drive Committee, youth must be registered volunteers with Hands4Hope and must pay the annual registration fee (scholarships available.)

Important 2026 dates:

• May 6: Committee Application Deadline

• June: Committee meetings begin

• June - July: Collections

• July 17: "Stuff the Bus" event (all day)

• August 3: Distribution set up (afternoon)

• August 4: Distribution event (all day)​​

Once the committee is formed, there are still many volunteer opportunities available to help with the School Supply Drive! They will be posted for sign-up as they become available.
