Markham Middle School
Giver Lillies gift card drive
Lilliput Family Services
Project overview
During the 21-22 program year, our Hands4Hope Club at Markham Middle School worked with Lilliput Family Services' Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) to raise funds for much needed basic supplies for living.
KSSP is designed to provide support to kinship families – particularly those formed voluntarily, without the assistance of a child welfare agency. Rarely are families prepared for a situation like this and that’s where KSSP can help.
The Markham MS Hands4Hope Club collected gift cards and funds for new guardians to help with emergency funding so that they can purchase clothes, school supplies, and extracurricular items for the youth in their care.
Update: The club donated $425 in gift cards from Walmart and Target that will benefit 17 youth.
